Craig Saunders: Eight years at Heriot-Watt University FC preceded a two year spell at Hawick Royal Albert for 28 year-old goalkeeper Craig who joined up at the Purdie Worldwide Community Stadium in July 2019.
Darren Mitchell: Previously goalkeeper with United’s U21 side, Darren stepped up to the Juniors after impressing in a couple of appearances between the sticks as a trialist near the end of the 2015/16 season. Missed all of last season due to injury.
Jonny Clements: Jonny is 20 year-old goalkeeper who arrived at the Purdie Worldwide Community Stadium at the end of July 2019 having previously had a short spell with Edinburgh University in the Lowland League. Jonny is a product of the Hibernian Youth Academy having spent seven seasons at Easter Road and, for a brief period, was also on the books of Cowdenbeath.
Arron Gunn: 22 year-old Arron is a defender who spent two and a half seasons in Junior football at Whitburn before stepping up to the Senior game with University of Stirling FC, arriving at the Purdie Worldwide community Stadium in the close season.
Darren McIntosh: Darren is a full-back returning to United after three and a half seasons away, first at Bathgate Thistle and then at Harthill Royal. 27 year-old Darren originally arrived in Blackburn back in October 2012 after a short period with West Calder United .
Keiran Welsh: Keiran is an experienced full-back who steps up from a successful amatuer career with local sides Harvester AFC and Craigshill Thistle. Keiran has also had a couple of short stints with Bathgate Thistle in the Juniors.
David Taylor: David is a powerful centre-half who joined United in September 2019 from Bathgate Thistle. where he was their 2018/19 Player of the Year. David began his career at Airdrie in the SPFl followed by a brief spell at Shotts Bon Accord, and stints at both West Calder United and Armadale Thistle before moving to Creamery Park in June 2016.
Martin Lawrie: Defender Martin originally joined United in November 2014 from Whitletts Victoria after spending all of his career up until then in Ayrshire football. After three seasons and 64 appearances Martin moved onto pastures new with Bathgate Thistle and Fauldhouse United, as well as another brief spell at Whitletts, before returning to the Dem-master Community Stadium at the end of October 2018.
Stewart Devine: Full-back Stewart spent fully ten seasons with SPFL side Stirling Albion before a brief flirtation with Stranraer ended when he signed for Bo’ness United. Stewart has the distinction of also having played with Linlithgow Rose from whom he arrived in June 2018.
James Mildren: Goal scoring centre back James signed up for a return to Blackburn in June 2015 after spending most of his formative years with the club’s youth set up, enjoying successful seasons at U19 and U21 level before a brief sojourn in amateur football.
John Drummond: After a season at Harthill Royal, John spent the next three at Livingston United before arriving at New Murrayfield Park. Capable of playing in the centre of midfield or in the middle of the defence, 23 year-old John was signed at the end of September 2016 and was the club’s 2016/17 Player of the Year. Struggled with a knee injury last season but hopes to be back to his best for this campaign.
Stuart McLeod: Central midfielder Stuart started out as a youngster at Raith Rovers but really found his feet when stepping down into the Junior grade with West Calder United where he spent three seasons before signing for Armadale Thistle in the summer of 2011. Stuart subsequently spent four seasons at Volunteer Park ahead of a short move to Bathgate Thistle for the start of the 2015/16 season where he went onto captain the Creamery Park side. Stuart arrived at the Purdie Worldwide Community Stadium at the end of February 2019.
David Howe: Another teenager, holding midfielder David has been much sough after within West Lothian Junior and Senior football where he was originally with Broxburn Athletic after a short spell at Hibernian in the SPFL.
Nathan Donnelly-Kay: Four years in the youth set-up at Dunfermline Athletic were followed by eighteen months at Easter Road before Nathan made his Senior breakthrough with Broxburn Athletic where he had two short spells sepearated by a year at Edinburgh City during to 2017/18 season. Midfielder Nathan arrived at the Purdie Worldwide Community Stadium in July 2019.
Michael Browne: Michael set out on his football career at Livingston as a youth but came to prominence at Whitburn before earning a move to the Super League with firstly Fauldhouse United and latterly with Broxburn Athletic before signing in July 2017.
Craig Young: Craig is an experienced midfielder or defender who began his playing days at Ross County before moving onto Cowdenbeath where he spent two seasons ahead of a move into the Juniors, first to Harthill Royal and then to Armadale Thistle before signing for Broxburn Athletic in September 2007. Craig signed up at New Murrayfield Park in August 2016, initially on a loan deal from the Albyn Park club before making the move permanent.
Dominic Kane: SPFL sides Hibernian and Motherwell are where 21 year-old Dominic started out as a youth before moving into the EoSFL with the University of Stirling FC. Dominic is the nephew of ex-United Captain and Community Club Coach Development Officer Brian Smillie and is a cultured midfielder.
Richard Hutton: 23 year-old Richie is a midfielder who was signed from Bathgate Thistle in March 2017 as part of the deal that took Martin Lawrie to Creamery Park. With Dundee United as a youth, Richie also has SPFL sides Edinburgh City and East Fife on his CV.
Calum McDowall: Starting out in the Heart of Midlothian Youth Academy, 24 year-old Calum then became part of United’s successful U19 and U21 sides before stepping up to the senior side in March 2013. However, with starting opportunities limited, Calum dropped back to the amateurs where he won a number of medals with our own amateur side and earned a call-up from the Scotland Amateur FA before returning to the senior side near the end of last season.
Danny Campbell: Danny was an absolutely prolific striker while coming through the youth ranks at Murrayfield Park and netted his first goal for the ‘big’ side as a 16 year-old in the win at Dalkeith Thistle at the end of 2009/10. Manager Dad Mark eased him in gently in his first full season during 2010/11 and this helped him to become the potent goal threat he is now, whether playing through the middle or in a wider role.
Laurie Devine: A graduate of the Hamilton Accies youth set-up, 18 year-old Lauriehas also spent time in the youth sides of Airdrieonians and Livingston before making his first strides in adult football with Tynecastle. Laurie signed and played several games in a midfield to front role at the end of last season.
