With only four minutes on the clock Danny Campbell got on the end of a Jack Garrard cross and stabbed the ball into the next from close range but the assistant refs flag ruled it out, however a minute later Danny broke clear and was hauled down by keeper Sean Dalton who received a yellow card and Michaels Browne stepped up to convert.

Jeanfield came strongly back into the game and were on level terms 12 minutes later when Blackburn failed to clear and the ball deflected into the path of Dayle Robertson six yards out and he couldn’t miss. Three minutes later Connor McLaren flashed a shot off the bar and then Craig Saunders managed to tip a Dolzanski header onto the bar. However the inevitable second eventually came but again with a huge slice of luck when a cross was glanced into his own net by Michael Browne.

With three minutes left of the half Danny Campbell got on the end of a fantastic Devine cross but managed to head over with the goal gaping.

Right from the start of the second half it was Swifts who took a grip of the game when Robertson got his second of the game after only two minutes. Saunders came to the rescue again when he saved from Chris Dodd shortly afterwards.

A number of changes saw Callum Heath come off the bench and moments later his 25 yard shot cannoned back off the bar. Blackburn cause wasn’t helped with ten minutes left when Jack Garrard received a second yellow for dissent after complaining about a linesman’s decision. With time running our Marcus Millar’s header from a corner came back off the bar to deny Blackburn again.
