Blackburn United            3             Campbell 44, Jollie 73, Orr OG 79

Bathgate Thistle               1             Barclay 65

The first half was a fairly even affair but a minute before half time a quality move opened the scoring. Fraser Cormack found Calum Heath with a long diagonal pass out to the left, Heath quickly crossed the ball into the box where Danny Campbell rose to head it home.

Early in the second half Heath curled a shot off the crossbar and then Luke Meikle was sent clear but shot straight at Brown. Bathgate’s equaliser came when Luke Barcley tapped the ball into the net after Saunders had saved the initial shot, however eight minute later the lead was regained when Devine slid in trialist Nathan Jollie who angled a shot past Brown. A minute later Laurie Devine had an effort hacked off the line, but the third came with a little over 10 minutes left when it was Devine who sent in a corner for Ricky Orr to turn over his own line at the back post, under pressure from Mildren.
